Messages Sages and Ages (MSA) is an international, open-access journal. MSA is published online by the Stefan cel Mare University of Suceava. MSA is striving to provide the best platform for researchers and scholars worldwide to exchange their latest findings. The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to, the following topics: literatures written in the English language, linguistics, sociolinguistics, translation studies, cultural studies and digital humanities.
Call for Papers
New (Marketing of) Humanities
We invite proposals for articles exploring the theory and practice of research on literatures and texts written in the English language, linguistics, sociolinguistics, translation studies, cultural studies and digital humanities. The aim is to provide a thorough look at the current developments that account for the actual writing of the field’s practitioners. Accordingly, their 2013 papers elaborate on the contemporary reconfiguration of literary studies, and, conceivably, of (new) humanities. Authors are bound to explicitly discuss or implicitly exemplify the purpose and meaning of their work. A major concern will be the (un)voiced notion of humanities as claimed or used both by the author and the subject matter.
We welcome papers in English. Abstracts (cca. 200 words) and full papers (up to 7,000 words), together with a brief biographical sketch (cca. 400 words), are to be sent to the following address 'to be filled' by July 25.
Topics might address, but are not in any way limited to:
- twentieth century literature/text and beyond
- literary criticism
- (postclassical) narratology
- gender roles
- (circulation/authorship of) narratives and the internet
- popular culture
- public narratives
- discourse analysis
- specialized languages
